The comments of the officer's brother, as reported, likely reflect both anger and grief. It's very understandable. However, using the term "narrative" twice is concerning.
Narrative: a spoken or written account of connected events; a story.
The term "investigation" would have been more appropriate in both instances.
Yeah “the narrative” in the way he used it is a way loaded term and I do think he meant it that way. And I think it’s worth considering that “the narrative” as employed may have little to do with the investigation
