Love The Telegram spread from the 1950's. Fascinating! Such an important part of the modern history of Worcester. So interesting to see all those titans of industry, names we've all heard of over the years. I've always heard about the neighborhoods that were wiped out to make way for the expressway. Interesting look into Worcester before all the modern changes.
I support lowering Worcester's speed limit.(Can't wait to see when I get my first ticket ;-)
Unless I missed something, does the WPD have enough resources to adequately enforce the new limit 24/7/365? And If not, is critical thinking being given to using electronic-monitoring devices to tag and ticket speedsters?
If not, is this all just one big, fat political con job - one that's unsafe at any speed?
Enforcement via traffic cameras is illegal in MA. There was a bill introduced in the statehouse to change that last year, but I believe it is currently languishing in committee.
