Enjoying keeping up with you young guys. I'm crank qualified in age only (69).

I appreciate it, and also I think crank is a state of mind. I know plenty of people who are rad elders in Worcester and all sorts of other places. I also know plenty of young cranks. I've been organizing a long time and I'd be lost many many many times without those elders. It's complicated but I think a big part of the reason that crank gets assigned to older people is that demographic just votes more across the political spectrum.

I am also about to be 44!

Outdoor Cats gets folksy @ 30:00 +/- with Chris' coverage of the Sheffield Town Fair Cow Plop Contest. Can Bill's, "do ya, do ya, push 'em over?" comment be put to a beat similar to "what's in the trash?"?

Chris' commentary on the transience of tenants in new downtown and Polar Park buildings makes sense. Are they just privatized dormitories whose residents lack the spiritual investment to create a traditional neighborhood?

Love the podcast!

Largely that's exactly right, to the point that there's been lots of jokes about buildings like mine being "dorms for adults".

Glad you liked the cow plop coverage! I love getting to visit and hear from my fam out there, when I lived in a rural place I couldn't wait to get the fuck out but over the years I've really learned to love the charm of it. I was actually born in the town next door, Great Barrington.

When I texted my cousin about getting my cow plop squares, the first question I asked her was if I could get 69 as my square, but one of the 4H moms had already bought it.

Also the show I was referencing on MTV was "AMP". This is the first episode I ever saw.
