No sheriff does things quite the same way, each one is unique…artisanal law enforcement.

My understanding is that a public employee cannot leave one public positon early to work (receive pay) at abother public position. For example, a teacher cannot leave work early because they coach at another school. I'm sure it happens all the time but it's not supposd to. Wouldn't the same rule apply to Kate Toomey?

I've always thought the objective of ethical government is to avoid even, "the appearance of a conflict of interest". WCSO - Staff "re-entry' specialist - Worcester City Councilor - Public Safety Committee Chairperson - WPD Gang Unit. Am I overreacting?

The vacuum of principled people in responsible positions allows this shit to go on unabated. Where's the Sheriff? Oops, "we don't need no stinkin' badges". Let's just sit back and watch the unprincipled thugs turn the OIG report into a nothing burger.

Please carry on, Bill. Your time is already here.

Fearless Local Journalism.

Yeah, I don't know about the News Talk New England thang either: I've read some of its stuff via The016.com. Those have read more like police blotter/police officer's reports than anything else. Just a notch above AI slop.

That “NewsTalk New England” site is either owned or run by a guy from Shrewsbury who does announcing for regional sports and its sole other current employee looks to be a woman who used to run a site called “Crime Beat Nation” that looks like it was made from the same Wordpress template as the NTNE site with a bunch of obviously AI-generated articles scraped from other sources under her name.
