First of all, disappointing that, "Where did that energy go" wasn't tied into the discussion of pausing the opt-in Specialized Stretch Energy Code (ayyeee)!

But on a more serious note, I generally liked "Where did that energy go" and have a request of its author and editor for future pieces (Hi Asa and Bill!)

I would like to see this platform using people's names when referring to them. This is less confusing and gossipy-feeling, makes the piece easier to understand for those less in the know like me, and most importantly, is a marker of respect. Thu Nguyen isn't *only* a "non-binary Vietnamese City Councilor", they have many stories and a name. So do Guillermo Creamer and Chrissi Bates. Even if the author doesn't like them, reducing them to a string of their identities, especially projected identities that aren't their own ("The same queer leader who ran for mayor in ‘23 by joining the centrist “white, middle-class, white club”), without actually identifying them, is dehumanizing. You don't have to like them, and you don't have to report 'objectively'. Critique their Actions. Critique their Values, and keep your eyes on the prize and save the vitriol for the Big Baddies. Petty and the Council majority won't be part of your next coalition and in fact may be its target, but the people from our communit(ies) currently running cover for them still just could become our partners in the next project, a year from now or a decade.

Now that we know the Stretch Code won't be paused we can take that energy back for ourselves ;-) Power to the People! Energy out of the buildings because they're still build to stringent efficiency standards, and into the Queers!

Bergman's Resolution is basically a pep rally for police following their job description and doing their job. No offense to the police. But how far can one shove their head up someone's ass? Kate and Morris are just one click short of showing up with pom-poms. It's so hard to take Worcester government seriously. Worcester Discourages.

Congrats on your success and humility, Bill. - Brent Rutland
