Thanks for sharing your plight, Bill. But keep it up.
1. Regarding "Where's My Chippy", schadenfreude doesn't pay the bills. I've yet to see a certified accounting of property tax arrears for Norton's soon to become ex-properties. Perhaps Eric Casey will do the legwork for us on that item. Can we count on WBJ to continue reporting on this complicated and compelling mess?
2. I'll abstain from commenting on "Citation Needed" because my mom was a nurse turned practitioner. Aside from that, it's unfortunate that "Outdoor Cats" was unable to capitalize on this marketing opportunity. Doesn't the Globe know who you are?
3. Every candidate for the Worcester City Council should be hammered for their CLEAR position on recently proposed Rent Control Legislation. It's a Worcester Problem.
4. I watched the entire hearing on "7 Longworth Road". The testimonies of the abutter, Keith Boucher, and District 1 city council candidate, Keith Linhares were thoroughly researched and clearly presented to the board. Impressive, but not enough. I was alarmed at the willingness of the board to support a developer that clearly speculated on receiving relief from the ZBA for a non-conforming condition. I still don't understand Mayor Petty's reason for attending the hearing and sharing his comments. And residents should be concerned with his comment of, "I don't understand all the law involved here, but maybe someone can answer those questions". The Mayor Petty appears willing to forego compliance with dimensional requirements in pursuit of keeping with "the character of the neighborhood".
Taken in the context of real estate interests vs. resident concerns and regulatory bylaws the winner is clear in this case. Erosion of property owners' rights continues. And it's worth noting that the ZBA chairperson mentioned in "Rent Control Now" favors rent control legislation (anti real estate) yet voted to approve the plans of a real estate investor that created their own hardship (pro real estate). The lines are not clearly drawn.

I find it interesting that despite listening to outdoor cats regularly Spotify refuses to put it into “my shows.” Instead putting shows Ive listened to one episode of six months ago and that I don’t follow. I’m not saying you’re being censored by Daniel ek but it sure seems weird!
I don’t see the issue with the zoning thing. He’s taking a lot where there was 1 house and putting 2 there. Isn’t that exactly what we need more of?
Yeah we need more housing in general but the way this guy makes money should be illegal. The issue is the speculation practices, not the density
Is the issue him making money off housing? I just don’t understand the beef and I am really trying to.
Dear Mr. Dani - Regulatory Zoning Bylaws are not a "thing", seen or unseen. And your simplistic analysis is alarming.
What adult man in this day and age who isn’t a baseball player is going by the name “Chip?”
You're a legend.
Bill, we need you! If you need to write this once a month instead of every 7 days, go for it! You have my monthly $$ regardless!
